Abdulateef Muhammed

A lawyer with practice experience spanning over two decades, Abdulateef Muhammed began his law journey in 1999 when he was called to the Nigerian Bar.

 

He is an alumnus of the University of Lagos, where he obtained his law degree.

 

Under the mentorship of Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, he underwent a transformative pupillage, laying the foundation for a career in private legal practice.

 

In 2019, Abdulateef reached was appointed a Notary Public on Life Commission by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, reflecting a commitment to public service as a Notary Public and upholding the highest standards.

 

Abdulateef has garnered extensive expertise in defending both AMCON debtors and bank debtors against excessive debt claims in Nigeria.

 

In maritime law, he has fearlessly defended ship crew and ship owners in criminal matters under the formidable Miscellaneous Offences Act.

 

His track record includes facilitating the release of vessels detained by the Nigerian Navy and other authorities.
